So here we are, less than a week to go before Christmas and I find myself once again coming to the realization that my shopping has yet to be done. Don’t get me wrong, I’m really not complaining. Local real estate markets have been strong and certainly have kept the office buzzing along. As the year comes to a close, it’s been fun taking the time to reconnect with the many clients and friends made over the course of the past year. Sharing a coffee, or a meal, and sometimes the occasional beverage as we catch up, is something I always thoroughly enjoy.
But the shopping….it’s the one thing I really have put off once again. No doubt the allure of online has made this excuse a little old, but the thing is, supporting local business is something I have always tried to do, and well understand. Having been afforded the good fortune of making my living in the counties of Grey-Bruce, the importance of community is certainly something I relate to am proud to support. So here I am once again with deadlines quickly approaching, and whether by default or design, I will continue making the rounds of local retailers and services, hopefully giving back in some small way to all those who have given me so much.
