Cannabis Medicine Making (19+)

This half day workshop will teach you several methods to make medicine from Cannabis.   With the legalization of cannabis many people are turning to this healing plant for its wide range of healing properties.   We will focus on demonstrating how you can unlock these healing properties and make a number of different medicines at home, in your own kitchen.  Together we will make: Cannabutter for use in edibles, Coconut Canna oil for internal and external use, Infused oils to be used topically for pain and inflammation, Tinctures (to be used internally). The best medicine is the medicine you make yourself.  Look and learn about this plant through the eyes of an herbalist. Children aged 2-6 and their caregivers are invited to this program filled with rhymes, stories, songs, and finger plays. Each weekly program will be followed by a craft activity.

Race for REACH

Registration fee is $25
5K walk/run race to support our campaign to raise funds for a new facility which will be a fully accessible community hub in downtown Owen Sound at the historic Grey Granite Club.  As a local charity REACH relies on our caring community to make this dream a reality. Pledge forms are available for pick up at REACH and there are incentives for all levels and medals will be presented to 1st, 2nd and 3rd race winners. PA Day Adventures

$27 per Child, or $25 for Museum MembersSo much fun, they won't know they're learning! PA Day Adventures at Grey Roots are fun and educational. Welcoming children aged 5 to 10 to spend the day learning current exhibits through hands-on activities, visits through the galleries, games, and crafts.  Registration closes at 5 p.m. the Wednesday before each PA Day.
