Bomb the Bruce Motorcycle Ride

Saturday July 20th, 8:30-2:30pm
Fox Harley Davidson
Bomb the Bruce is a motorcycle ride in support of the veteran and First responder communities and is open to ALL riders and ALL bikes.
Cost is $25 and includes a "Haybox Meal" combo from Bombshell Stella's at the end of the ride.
Registration opens onsite at 8:30am July 20th, 2019.
The ride departs at 10am, RAIN OR SHINE, and finishes at Bombshell Stella's at about 2:30pm.
Route maps will be provided to all riders.

Literacy Express

Community Waterfront Heritage Center
The Literacy Express pulls into the Story Station for a FREE morning of stories, songs and crafts, for ages 0 to 6 years old.
Your conductor will be Tammy Cruickshank, Grey County Early Literacy Facilitator.
This program takes place on board historic CNR coach #4884.
Due to the historic nature of coach #4884, it is not fully accessible.
Guardians must remain with their children at all times.

Morning Track Workout
Tuesday July 23rd, 6-7am
Victoria Park Track
WORKOUT: 10-12 x 400 METERS at 5km goal pace less 5 seconds per mile with a 200m jog in between. To simplify this, you could aim to run at your 3-5km goal pace, or slightly faster than your goal 5km pace. Bring water, your watch and your enthusiasm! Everyone welcome....this is a FREE event.

It's OPEN MIC night with host Aaron Top and GRIND is our feature band for the 8:15 slot! Come support and enjoy the great music! C'mon out and show us what you're working on! Pizza from Justin's Oven available. It's been really busy and great fun with both bands and songwriters. FREE event. NOT just for musicians but a night to go out and enjoy great local talent for free or just hang out with friends! There will be full band backline set up for musicians to use, but please bring your own guitar if you can (house guitar is available if needed).

Great Canadian Backpack Challenge 2019

This year we are holding a "scavenger hunt" type event that will lead teams of 1 or 2 people to pre-determined locations in or close to downtown Owen Sound. Starting at the United Way Bruce Grey, teams will be given a backpack with a clue that will take them to their first station where they will receive a school supply item for their backpack. This item will have a clue for their next station, and so on. When the teams have filled their backpacks, they return back to the United Way office for refreshments and a chance to win a prize and to pack our 25,000th BACKPACK!
